The short version. This software is a tool that helps you organise information and perform calculations. It does not verify anything. Every quote, price, nest, cut list, drawing, routing and inventory figure it produces must be checked by a competent person before you rely on it, quote from it, cut from it, or send it to a customer. You remain responsible for your work.
These terms are between LaserERP ("we", "us") and the business that subscribes to the software ("you", "the Customer"), together with every person you allow to use it. If you accept these terms on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.
The software has two parts, and different rules apply to each:
LaserERP is a record-keeping and estimating tool. It is not an engineering authority, a safety system, a pricing authority, or a substitute for your own judgement. Every figure it produces — a price, a weight, a cut time, a nest, a material requirement, a stock level, a due date — is an estimate derived from the data and rate tables you enter.
You are responsible for checking every quote before you send it and every work order before it reaches the floor.
The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any defect will be corrected.
Quotes are calculated from rate tables, material prices, machine speeds and margins that you set and maintain. We do not verify them. A quote produced by the software is your quote, issued by you, and you alone are responsible for whether it is profitable, accurate or binding.
We are not liable for work quoted below cost, for arithmetic that reflects a mis-entered rate, for a price sent to the wrong customer, or for any margin lost however caused.
Drawing files are parsed automatically. Parsing can misread a file, close a loop incorrectly, miss a feature, or misjudge a scale or unit. Part previews, areas, weights, pierce counts and nesting results are indicative only and must be verified against the drawing before cutting.
Nothing the software outputs is a manufacturing instruction, a safety approval or a certification. Routing steps, finishes, tolerances, material substitutions and shipping methods are yours to specify and verify. You remain responsible for machine safety, operator training, guarding, certification, export control, and every applicable law and standard in your jurisdiction.
Stock levels reflect what has been entered and what the software has inferred from completed work. They are not a physical count. Do not rely on them for a commitment to a customer without checking.
Your job, customer, quote and file data belongs to you. We store and process it to provide the service. We do not sell it and do not use it to train models.
You are responsible for having the right to upload anything you upload, including drawings and specifications belonging to your own customers, and for your own obligations to them under any confidentiality agreement.
Files are stored in the database rather than dedicated object storage. This is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — drawings, quotes and records. We do not guarantee that deleted data can be recovered, and we do not guarantee that any backup we happen to hold will be complete, current or restorable.
The service runs on third-party infrastructure and depends on third-party services for hosting, payment processing and email. Outages, data loss or security failures at those providers are outside our control. We do not guarantee any level of uptime unless separately agreed in writing.
LaserSocial is a shared, cross-company board. It includes a public feed, member-created forums, classified listings, member profiles, and direct messages between members. It is provided as part of the subscription and may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time.
It is a trade board for business use only. It is not a personal social network, and it is not intended for or directed at anyone under 18. You must not create an account for, or allow access by, anyone under 18.
You must not post, message, list or upload:
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating the service, and to retain copies as required for moderation, legal and record-keeping purposes after deletion.
You grant every other member permission to read what you post. Once posted, content may have been copied, screenshotted or relied on by others. Deletion removes it from the service; it does not retrieve it from anyone who saw it.
Posts, listings and messages are published without prior review. We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for anything a member posts, including certifications listed on a profile, claims about equipment, prices in a classified listing, or technical advice.
Certifications shown on a member profile are unverified claims made by that member. We have not checked them. Ask for the certificate.
Technical advice on the board is one shop's opinion. Following it is at your own risk, and we are not liable for damage to a machine, a scrapped part, an injury or any other loss arising from it.
Classified listings are between the members concerned. We are not a party to any sale, not an agent or broker, do not hold funds, do not verify that goods exist, that a seller owns them, that they are as described, that they are safe or lawful to sell, or that either side will perform.
Any dispute about a sale is between you and the other member. Inspect equipment before paying for it.
Anyone can report a post, a reply or a message they have received. We may remove content, suspend a member, or withdraw a company's access to LaserSocial at any time, with or without notice, for any reason we consider appropriate, including a breach of these terms.
Removal is a moderation action, not a judgement, and we are under no obligation to remove anything, to review a report within any time, or to explain a decision.
If you become aware of content involving a minor, or any content you believe is unlawful, report it immediately.
Direct messages are private between two members in the ordinary sense, but they are not confidential and not encrypted end to end. They are stored on our systems. A recipient can report a message, which discloses it to us for review.
An administrator at a member's own company may be able to read conversations involving that company's people, if that company has switched conversation oversight on. Where this is enabled, members at that company are notified in the messenger. Because a conversation has two sides, that administrator will also see what the other party wrote, and the other party's own company may separately have oversight enabled.
Do not send anything through LaserSocial that you would not want your employer, the other party's employer, or a moderator to read.
The outsourcing section puts you in contact with other subscribing companies so that work can be passed between shops. Those companies are independent businesses, frequently your competitors, and are not vetted, approved, endorsed or checked by us in any way.
Do not send drawings, part numbers, purchase order numbers, or anything else identifying your customer. Describe the work — process, material, gauge, quantity, tolerance and timing — not who it is for. Anything you send identifying a customer can be used by the shop that receives it, including to approach that customer directly.
An outsourcing request is a direct message. It is not confidential, not encrypted end to end, is stored on our systems, may be read by an administrator at either company where oversight is enabled, and may be disclosed to us if it is reported.
We are not a party to any arrangement reached through this section. We do not verify a shop's capability, capacity, certification, insurance, solvency or conduct. We take no responsibility for the confidentiality or security of anything you choose to share, for any breach of a confidentiality agreement you hold with your own customer, for any customer approached, solicited or lost, for work performed badly or not at all, for any commercial loss, or for any dispute between you and another company.
Confidentiality, non-disclosure, non-solicitation, quality, liability and payment between you and another shop are matters for you to agree with them directly, in writing, away from this service. You remain solely responsible for your own obligations to your customers.
Each subscribing company controls its own people's access to LaserSocial, including whether it is available at all, which employees may use it, how many minutes per day they may spend on it, what hours it may be used, whether messaging is available, and whether conversation oversight is enabled.
Usage time is recorded per employee and visible to that company's administrators. If you use the software as an employee, your employer sets and can see these things.
You must not resell, sublicense, rent or share access outside your company; exceed the user count on your plan; reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code; scrape or bulk-export other members' content; probe or test the security of the service; interfere with other users; or use the software to break any law.
Accounts are per person. Sharing sign-in details is a breach of these terms, and you are responsible for everything done under your account.
LaserERP and LaserSocial, including all code, design, structure and branding, remain our property. The subscription grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the software while paid up. It is licensed, not sold. No rights are granted except those stated here.
Subscriptions are billed in advance per the plan you select. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on notice effective at your next renewal. Non-payment may result in suspension, and continued non-payment in termination and deletion of data.
You may cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that puts the service or other members at risk.
On termination your right to use the software ends immediately. Export anything you need before cancelling. We may delete your data after a reasonable period.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost margin, lost business, lost goodwill, scrapped material, machine damage, rework, downtime, missed delivery, contractual penalties, or loss or corruption of data, however caused and on any theory of liability.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the software, on all claims combined, will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You will indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss, liability, damage or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the software, anything you post to LaserSocial, any dealing with another member, any breach of these terms, any infringement of a third party's rights, or any claim by your own customers or employees relating to your use of the software.
We are not responsible for, and take no part in, disputes between members — whether about a classified sale, something posted, something said in a message, or a business dealing that began here. You release us from any claim arising out of such a dispute.
We may change these terms. Material changes will be notified in the software and require acceptance before continued use. The version in force is shown at the foot of this page.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a sale of the business. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the software and supersede any prior understanding.
